Well, today was Jewel's last day at the library.... sort of sad... it's been over two years.... well, two years and 4 months.... Jewel correct me if I'm wrong... but I've learnt a bunch about her, and her family in that time... she's headed to better paying job... I think at some of my urging... only because she can't stay at the library forever... there really isn't much movement available....I wonder who we'll get to take her position... because you can't really replace her.... then again you can't really replace anybody....
Stories of the week #14 has been posted... go here to read them..
well today I bought a new hard drive for my laptop, it's a bit faster... 5400RPM instead of 4200RPM... it's also 80Gigabytes... so I'll have more storage space.... I'm putting both windows and linux on this thing... so we'll see how that goes... I'm not really sure which version of linux to put on it yet... I'm thinking I want one that I can use for Pentesting... but I don't know which one yet....
Well... today was interesting at work... I was out at Eola and children's reference informed me that a dead body was found at the Park District end of the building.... he was found in a car... he was patron, because the police returned his library book... there will probably be a story in tomorrow's paper... so I might actually read it... but we'll see...

Ok... I just saw a Digg.com story about a security breach at Western... 180,000+ affected students and faculty.... now... I don't have the details (which doesn't suprise me)... they wouldn't want to have the details exposed... but from the comments, it's the Bookstore / Union Hotel.... now my question is why haven't these universities, with so much information taken stricter security measures previously? I mean, I know damn well how hard it is to fully secure anything... it's not a just set and forget thing... it's a constant moving, adapting, and re-evaluating.... but this is just an ignorant thing to ignore with so much data and information stored....
oh well... eventually nothing will be secure.... but we'll still try....
I've posted this week's stories of the week Here
I haven't had a chance to pull up all of the stories of the week for this week... so I will do it tomorrow at some point.... I'll also probably post on the Billy Joel Musical as well...
So I decided to buy a New Monitor for my computers.... I went all out and bought the 20.1" Viewsonic Monitor... the only thing I need now is a DVI KVM instead of the analog one that I have... it's a nice monitor... now I'm debating on whether or not to change the font size... since this font size is so small now... oh well... I'll eventually figure it out...
