I'm not sure how, but my webserver got turned off... No idea how or why, but it did.... so it was down from 12:11 this morning until 11:15 when I noticed it and turned it back on.

I am almost done with my christmas shopping, I only have a few people left to shop for, and then I'm done.. I may finish by next weekend, but we'll see...
That's about all for now..
So Today I was doing some compatibility testing with the Xbox 360 console and the original Xbox Games. Interesting Findings.

Two games could not be tested.
NFL 2k5
Counter-strike
I could not locate these two discs.
Now, only one of these Worked. Halo. There were a total of five Microsoft Studios Games in the bunch
Crimson Skies
Fable
Halo
Project Gotham Racing
Project Gotham Racing 2
One out five... you would think these would be the most compatible. Only 20% of the games we own are compatible.
Therefore, that is a total of 33 Games. Only 1 of which is actually compatible
Here is the list of games that we own that are supposed to be compatible
Crimson Skies
Fable
Fight Night Round 2
Genma Onimusha
Halo
Kill*Switch
Sega GT 2002
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
The Simpson's Hit and Run
The Simpsons Road Rage (Platinum Edition)
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
So that is one out of twelve... hmm... 8.3%... that is not good....
Now, I did not check to see if there were updates to any of the games, this was strictly putting them into the xbox 360 and seeing if they would load.
Grand Total of Games that will work straight out of the box. One. So that's one out of 33... 3.03%.... good ratio... yeah, that's it.
So I was doing some online shopping/browsing at Circuitcity.com. I was looking for some iPod accessories, and they offer the Bose® Tri-Port® Headphones See Here. How is the iPod supposed to support this, with only one headphone jack? If somebody can tell me how, I'd like to know.
I contacted circuitcity.com letting them know of this oversight.
As Tradition has it, the day after Thanksgiving is known as "Black Friday"... and with that, I have a link to a funny cartoon .. Black Friday Cartoon
I've written my thoughts on a Forbes article about ITunes and Record Companies, it's here:
Last night I bought some Hershey's with Mint candy bars for a co-worker, who likes them, so I put them in her locker. That was around 4:15, so I looked again at 9:00 and they were gone. that just annoys me to no end that somebody would steal candy bars from other staff members....
I was buying a CD from Circuit City, and I was offered "scratch protection", now to me this is stupid, why would I want scratch protection on a product that cost $9.99, and that I will only use once, before putting away? This might have been a good idea like 10 years ago, before mp3 players were popular. I asked the sales person how much it was, and they said $1.99. So, let's see.... I'd pay 11.98 for the cd and to protect my cd against scratching... well, if I take care of the CD, I won't need the scratch protection would I?
On another note, people must be having a really bad driving day today, I had one guy almost hit me, because he didn't slow down, I had another guy riding my bumper for a good 3 miles, and there was a copy blocking off Southbound traffic on Rt 59, I'm not sure why. So everybody was going through the Meijer parking lot.
Well I've encoded a vast majority of my cds, except I seem to be missing two cases of cds. I'm not sure where they are. I'll have to do some searching to see if I can locate them. I wonder where they could be....
well it's a good thing I never want to use my own damn computer, because I can never get on it. I had to work late tonight, got home around 8:20, and watched tv for an hour and half, waiting to get on the damn computer, but I'm still waiting.... I wanted to play a game, which I haven't been able to play in almost a week because I can't get on my own fucking computer... this is complete bullshit, I think I'm going to start restricting their use of my computer until 10 pm and force them to log off at that time. Therefore I may actually get to use my own computer for once.
Since I can't get on my own computer, I'm forced to use the "family" computer, and with that, I'll start downloading stuff since I can't use my own... and my brother is starting to bitch "why is my ping so high"... well first off it's not fucking ping.... it's called LATENCY, there is a difference....
Ping the round trip time to get there and back, not counting the time to build the ping packet.
Latency is the time it takes to get to the remote site and back, including building the ping packet, so there is a difference between the two. I wish people would stop using these interchangibly.
