Apple introduces new Apple Business Connect Service

Today Apple has introduced a new free service for businesses, called “Business Connect”. Business Connect is a free service which will allow businesses to control information that is shown within Apple Maps.

Businesses will be able to update items like:

  • Adding Photos
  • Updating Logos
  • Showing special menus
  • Provide Discounts

And these are just a few of the items that they can do.

In order to be able to use Business Connect, you will need to register for a free account on the Business Connect website. Once you have registered, and your business has been verified, you will be able to perform updates as necessary.

From Apple’s article:

For businesses with many locations, Business Connect includes Business Connect API to easily deliver accurate, up-to-date information to Maps at scale through listing management agencies such as Reputation, Rio SEO, SOCi, Uberall, and Yext.

This means that companies can add updating Business Connect to their workflows so when information is updated within their own system, Apple Business Connect will be updated as well. Business Connect is not limited to just large companies, but it is open to businesses of all sizes.

You can read more about Business Connect on the Apple Business site, and you can register for an account on the Business Connect website.
