Apple's "One more thing" Event Predictions Results
Earlier this week I made my predictions for what we would see at Apple's "One more thing" event. Let us look at how well I did.
New Macs running Apple Silicon – 100%
This one I did get correct. We actually got 3 new Macs running Apple Silicon. The MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and a new Mac mini.
macOS Big Sur release date – 100%
We did get a release date for macOS Big Sur. Which is tomorrow, November 12th, 2020. You can learn all about macOS Big Sur by getting the e-book from Apple or Amazon for $3.99 each. You can also order a paperback in black and white for $14.99 or the color version for $39.99. The Amazon e-book will be available on Friday.
Craig Federighi showing off macOS Big Sur – 95%
I got this one correct because Craig Federighi did indeed show off macOS Big Sur.
Demos of iOS apps and macOS apps working together – 95%
Unfortunately, we did not get to see these apps working together, but we did get a variety of apps that were shown working on Apple Silicon.
New MacBook Air with Apple Silicon – 90%
Yes, we did get a new MacBook Air with Apple Silicon. You can read all about this in my event recap post.
macOS Big Sur released on 11/11 – 75%
I got this one wrong, because the release date is actually November 12th, not November 11th. I did debate on whether this would be the case. Thinking that the version number was 11, it would make sense to release on 11/11, but alas, they did not do this.
Closing Thoughts
I got 4 out of 6 correct. That's not as bad as I have gotten in the past, but I have definitely done better. I do not think we will have any more events this year.
